I first ate this at a Turkish restaurant. I tried to imitate the recipe. The cold soup is very refreshing and it easy to prepare.

Ingredients
  • 4 cups yogurt
  • 1 English cucumber
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • Salt to taste
  • 3/4 cup fresh dill
  • 1/2 toasted almond slices
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk

Directions
  1. Puree all ingridients in a blender (except almonds).
  2. Toast the almond slices in a pan and let cool.
  3. Put the soup in the fridge for approximately 1 hour to cool completely.
  4. Before serving, garnish with toasted almonds. Serve with crusty white bread like baguette.
