Tuna Biscuit Ring

- 1 egg slightly beaten divided shopping list
- 14 ounces canned tuna in water drained shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped white onion sautéed shopping list
- 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese shopping list
- 1 teaspoon celery salt shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- Biscuit Dough: shopping list
- 2 cups all purpose flour shopping list
- 3 teaspoons baking powder shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/4 cup shortening shopping list
- 3/4 cup milk shopping list
- Cheese Sauce: shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter shopping list
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 2 cups milk shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard shopping list
- 1 cup cheddar cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Combine half of the egg, tuna, onion, cheese, celery salt and pepper then set aside.
- Combine flour, powder, salt, shortening and milk then roll out and place over tuna mixture.
- Brush with reserved egg then bake at 375 for 30 minutes.
- Cook butter and flour then gradually add milk and boil 1 minute.
- Add cheese and mustard and heat through until cheese melts then pour sauce over tuna bake.
