Beef In Walnut Sauce

- 4 pound rump roast cut in cubes shopping list
- seasoned flour shopping list
- olive oil shopping list
- 1/2 cup water shopping list
- 8 ounce can tomato sauce shopping list
- 6 garlic cloves minced shopping list
- 1/3 cup cider vinegar shopping list
- 1 whole cinnamon stick shopping list
- 8 whole cloves shopping list
- 8 allspice shopping list
- 1 cup ground walnuts shopping list
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice shopping list
- Sliced sourdough bread toasted shopping list
How to make it
- Dredge meat in seasoned flour then shake off excess.
- Heat oil in large frying pan then brown meat well and transfer to crock pot.
- Pour water into frying pan to loosen drippings.
- Add to crock pot with tomato sauce, garlic and vinegar.
- Place cinnamon stick, cloves and allspice in a tea ball or cheesecloth then add to pot and cover.
- Cook on low for 10 hours.
- If necessary cook down pan juices then add walnuts and lemon juice.
- Heat to serving temperature then serve over toasted sourdough toast.
