How to make it

  • Make dough: Blend all ingredients well until crumbly.
  • Form into a ball and wrap; chill at least 1 hour.
  • Make filling: Mix all ingredients well; chill while rolling dough.
  • Roll out chilled dough 1/8" thick. Cut out 3" circles or cut into squares, re-rolling scraps.
  • Place a spoonful of filling on the center of each circle or square, fold in half to make crescents or triangles, and seal the edges well with a fork.
  • Brush top with egg and sprinkle generously with sesame seeds.
  • Bake on ungreased sheets at 400° 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Can be served warm or at room temperature.
  • Can be frozen after cooling and reheated straight from the freezer at 325° for 10-15 minutes if desired.
  • Makes about 4 dozen.
