How to make it

  • Combine beef with flour, chili powder, salt, onion, paprika, onion powder and garlic powder.
  • Use your hands to thoroughly mix ingredients well.
  • Add seasoned beef mixture to water in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Mix well with wooden spoon and break up meat as it cooks.
  • Heat 5 minutes or until browned.
  • Heat up beans in a covered container in microwave set on high for 2 minutes.
  • Place tortillas on a plate and cover with plastic wrap then heat 45 seconds in microwave on high.
  • Build each burrito by first spreading 1/4 cup refried beans on center of a heated flour tortilla.
  • Spread 1/8 of meat mixture over beans then pour a tablespoon enchilada sauce over meat.
  • Stir sour cream well then spread 1-1/2 tablespoons onto burrito.
  • Arrange some of the lettuce, cheese, tomato and onion onto tortilla.
  • Fold end of tortilla closest to you over filling ingredients.
  • Fold either left or right end over next then fold top edge over filling.
  • You will be leaving one end of the burrito open and unfolded.
  • Repeat with remaining ingredients and serve immediately.

    I use Tone's chili powder and I do agree with squirrel that the hatch brand enchilada sauce is the way to go. Yummers.

    yep, i know burritos and this is a good one! Hatch brand enchilada sauce will make these sing in your mouth.
