Cranberry Button Cookies

- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups brown sugar packed shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups fresh ground cranberries shopping list
- 1 cup vegetable shortening shopping list
- 3 cups quick cooking oats shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
How to make it
- In large mixing bowl combine flour, baking soda, ginger, nutmeg, salt and oats.
- Cut in shortening with a pastry blender or table knives until particles are very fine.
- Add cranberries and brown sugar then mix until well blended then cover and chill 1 hour.
- Roll out dough to 1/4" thickness and cut into 3" rounds.
- Bake on greased cookie sheets at 375 for 15 minutes then cool.
