How to make it

  • Line bottom of a rectangular baking pan with a layer of whole graham crackers. Combine melted butter, sugar, milk and beaten egg in a saucepan then cook over medium heat stirring constantly until mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat and add coconut, nuts and crumbs. Spread over crackers. Top with remaining crackers. To make frosting combine butter, milk, sugar, vanilla and pecans and beat until smooth. Spread on top of graham crackers and refrigerate for 24 hours. Sprinkle with coconut then cut into bars and serve.

Hi Sunny. The coconut can easily be left off. I have made it both ways since some of the people I cook for don't like coconut either. It's awesome both ways. Enjoy.

I can see why this would come with a warning label - With the exception of coconut ( which I don't care for anyway) this is all stuff I have on hand so I'll be heading for the kitchen now.
