Ground Turkey Shepherds Pie Recipe
This is an easy meal and is good with hot sauce (chaloula preferably).

Ingredients
  • 4 large potatoes
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 4 slices of bacon - cut up
  • 2 lbs ground turkey
  • 2 onions - chopped
  • 1-2 c small frozen veggies (carrots, corn, beans, etc)
  • 2 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp poultry seasoning
  • 2/3 c cream or half and half
  • 1 large beaten egg
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • salt and pepper

Directions
  1. Cook potatoes until tender:
  2. Meanwhile add olive oil to a pan and cook bacon until crisp.
  3. Add turkey - salt and pepper cook until almost browned & push to side
  4. Add onions and salt & pepper cook for 3-4 min
  5. Add desierd amount of veggies
  6. Add worcestershire, poultry seasoning, cayenne pepper.
  7. Cook for 6-7 minutes more or until veggies are tender.
  8. Pour mixture in 9x 13 baking dish
  9. Drain and mash potatoes.
  10. Add cream, egg, butter, and s&p.
  11. Mix together (will be slightly lumpy).
  12. Top meat mixture with potatoes.
  13. Broil until golden brown.
  14. Sprinkle paprika on top.
  15. Serve with hot sauce.

This sounds delicious, except I'll make it with chopped turkey breast meat.
