What would South Africa be without Bobotie? This easy to make recipe can be served for lunches or dinners.
Ingredients
- 500 g Knorr Unbelievable Bolognaise Cook-In-Sauce shopping list
- 1 onion, finely chopped shopping list
- 10 ml curry powder shopping list
- 5 bay leaves shopping list
- 30 ml oil shopping list
- 100 ml seedless raisins shopping list
- 500 g lean beef mince shopping list
- 2 slices bread shopping list
- 500 ml milk shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
How to make it
- Fry the finely chopped onions in oil until tender
- Add the mince and fry until crumbly, then add the Knorr Unbelievable Sauce and curry powder
- Soak the bread in milk, then squeeze the milk out and mash the bread
- Mix all the ingredients in a bowl, except for 250 ml of the milk, 2 eggs and the bay leaves
- Spoon the mixture into a greased casserole dish and stand the bay leaves in the mixture randomly
- Beat the remaining milk and eggs and pour over the meat
- Bake for 45 min or until the egg custard is set
