Filipino Chicken And Pork With Adobo Recipe
I obtained this recipe from an estate sale just last weekend. I have this one marked to try and it sounds really really good to me. Enjoy

Ingredients
  • 1 pound chicken cut up
  • 2 pound pork butt cut into cubes
  • 6 cloves garlic crushed
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup distilled vinegar
  • 2 bay leaves
  • Cooking oil

Directions
  1. Put vinegar, bay leaves, salt, pepper, soy sauce and water in a saucepan.
  2. Cover and cook slowly for 15 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile heat cooking oil in a large, heavy bottomed frying pan and brown 5 minutes.
  4. Add chicken and pork to pan and brown over medium high heat about 5 minutes then add garlic.
  5. Add broth to the fry pan and simmer partly covered until chicken is done about 30 minutes.
  6. Do not let it come to a boil then remove bay leaves and serve over rice.
