Baked Rice and Cherries

- 1 1/2 cups raw rice ( not instant ) shopping list
- 3 cups whole milk shopping list
- 4 eggs separated shopping list
- 3 Tbs sugar shopping list
- 2 cans of pitted black cherries, drained and save juice shopping list
How to make it
- Cook rice to pkg directions but use milk instead of water.
- When cooked, add egg yoks and sugar.
- Beat whites till stiff and fold into rice mixture.
- In a buttered casserole dish add 1/2 of rice and drained cherries.
- Cover with remianing rice, dot witrh some butter.
- Bake 375F about 30 minutes or light golden.
- Put reserved cherry juice in a pitcher and serve with the hot rice.
