  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 tablespoons corn syrup
  • 3 granny smith cooking apples
  • 7 eggs
  • 1-3/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla

Directions
  1. In medium sauce pan melt butter then add brown sugar and corn syrup.
  2. Cook on medium high heat until brown sugar is melted about 10 minutes.
  3. Pour mixture into rectangular baking dish and spread to cover bottom of dish.
  4. Quarter apples then peel and slice to about 1/8” then place apple slices on top of mixture.
  5. Make sure to cover the entire bottom of dish.
  6. Cut bread into 1/2" slices then cut slices into fourths then place on top of apples
  7. Whip eggs until all yolks are broken then add vanilla and milk and whip together.
  8. Pour over bread making sure that all pieces are soaked.
  9. Place plastic wrap over dish to tightly cover then put in refrigerator overnight.
  10. Next morning remove plastic wrap and place dish in 350 oven for 45 minutes or until brown.
  11. Serve warm and make sure to flip over to have the syrup on the bottom cover the bread.
