How to make it

  • In medium sauce pan melt butter then add brown sugar and corn syrup.
  • Cook on medium high heat until brown sugar is melted about 10 minutes.
  • Pour mixture into rectangular baking dish and spread to cover bottom of dish.
  • Quarter apples then peel and slice to about 1/8” then place apple slices on top of mixture.
  • Make sure to cover the entire bottom of dish.
  • Cut bread into 1/2" slices then cut slices into fourths then place on top of apples
  • Whip eggs until all yolks are broken then add vanilla and milk and whip together.
  • Pour over bread making sure that all pieces are soaked.
  • Place plastic wrap over dish to tightly cover then put in refrigerator overnight.
  • Next morning remove plastic wrap and place dish in 350 oven for 45 minutes or until brown.
  • Serve warm and make sure to flip over to have the syrup on the bottom cover the bread.
