How to make it

  • In a good mixing bowl, preferrably glass, mix together the grated cucumber, yogurt, cumin, clove and red chilli powder.
  • cover with a clear plastic wrap to seal out any foreign smell
  • refrigerate for 30 minutes to an hour and serve chilled with simple dishes such as dhaal or garlic naan
  • You will find this raita to be similar to tzaziki used for gyros, however it is a indo-fijian inspired traditional dish
  • enjoy =)
