Fiji Raita

- 1 large cucumber, grated( your choice of normal or english) shopping list
- 3/4 cup plain yogurt( whole milk good, homemade-wow!) shopping list
- 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder shopping list
- 1/4 tsp clove powder shopping list
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder shopping list
- optional shopping list
- 1 tsp grains of paradise( if you dont have cumin or clove powder) shopping list
- salt to your liking shopping list
How to make it
- In a good mixing bowl, preferrably glass, mix together the grated cucumber, yogurt, cumin, clove and red chilli powder.
- cover with a clear plastic wrap to seal out any foreign smell
- refrigerate for 30 minutes to an hour and serve chilled with simple dishes such as dhaal or garlic naan
- You will find this raita to be similar to tzaziki used for gyros, however it is a indo-fijian inspired traditional dish

I like this. The spicing is different from what I am used to but it sounds like a good combo. I like the addition of the cloves. Nice recipe...
