How to make it

  • make 2 even slits in the chicken pieces
  • marinade in a glass bowl chicken pieces, yogurt, ghee, cumin seeds,salt, tumeric, masala. Rub marinade into the slits as well
  • let sit for about an hour or uptill however long you need in the refrigerator
  • heat the oven to 350F
  • place the sliced tomatoes on the bottom of baking dish
  • arrange chicken pieces on top of the tomatoe slices
  • bake loosely covered with foil for about an hour. Check at 55 minutes.
  • chicken should be be tender, if there is no gravy, you may add 2oz of water r however much liquid you desire and season to taste.
  • garnish freshly chopped cilantro
  • side note:
  • clarified butter may be expensive to come by in stores, luckily you can make your own at home =D yay! check my recipe for that
