Chutney sounds like a great idea on a sandwich! I will try it.

Hi there,Ristows, how absolutely lovely to read about a South African recipe, I wonder if you have a recipe for Billtongue?

Elgab, In South Africa the most popular is most probably Mrs Ball's chutney. Which I believe our ex pats import so that they do not get too homesick. We have used it quite regularly to spice up a "sarmy" in the kids tuck box.

Jessyjane. With biltong,I have gone to the route of using commercial mixes. I'll place a biltong recipe shortly, unless someone beats me to it. Biltong and dried sausages are another SA institution.
