Ingredients
  • Real Maple Syrup
  • Low-Sodium Soy Sauce (or Teryaki if that's what in the cupboard)
  • Salmon filet (not steak) to fit the crowd

Directions
  1. Depending on the number you're feeding:
  2. 1/2 real maple syrup into big ziplock bag
  3. 1/2 soy sauce poured in
  4. Shake them together
  5. Put in salmon filet, slosh it around, and throw in frig 1 hour to overnight, turning over whenever you think about it
  6. Preheat oven to 350. Into a shallow baking dish, pour everything in.
  7. Cook until salmon's done -- do a fork-flake test to tell when -- usually 15 minutes. (depends on salmon thickness and your oven)
  8. Pull it out and check the filet through to make sure it's cooked through and through.
  9. Should have a maple soy caramelized crust, opaque center.
  10. Carefully extract it from the baking dish with a spatula.
  11. Cut according to number of servings.
  12. You won't need a knife to eat this when cooked right.
  13. Adjust amount of maple syrup and soy marinade according to filet size.
  14. Enjoy and prepare for the rave reviews from your guests!
