How to make it

  • Cake:
  • In large bowl,combine dry cake mix,cream cheese,and eggs,blend will.
  • Grease and flour tube cake pan.
  • Spoon 2/3 of batter into prepared pan.
  • Arrange peach slices over the cake batter,not touching sides of pan.
  • Sprinkle Red Hots over peaches.
  • Spoon remaining cake batter over candies.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes or until cake test is done.
  • Cool in pan 10 to 15 minutes,turn out on wire rack or cake plate.
  • While still warm pour glaze over top.
  • Glaze: 1/2 Cup powdered Sugar,1 to 2 Tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice,mix and pour over warm cake.
  • Cool completely,serve with cherry sauce.
  • Cherry Sauce:
  • Combine cherry jucie,sugar,salt, and cornstarch in saucepan,cook over low heat about 5 minutes,stirring constantly. Serve over cake slices.
