Ingredients

1 pound lean ground beef or lamb

1 onion, chopped

1 can (14oz.) tomato sauce

1/2 tps. salt

1/8 tps. nutmeg

1/4 tps. black pepper

4 medium potatoes, peeled and cooked

2 eggs

1 1/3 cup milk

1/2 cup grated Parmesan Cheese

Directions

1- Brown meat and onion in large saucepan. Add tomato sauce and seasoninge. Bring to a boil and simmer, covered for about 20 minutes

2- Slice cooked potatoes about 1/4 inch thick; arrange half of them in greased casserole. Cover with meat / tomato sauce mixture and top with rest of potatoes.

3- Beat eggs and milk together and pour over potatoes. Sprinkle with cheese and bake in 350F oven for about 45 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
