Apple-Glazed Beef Brisket

- 1 5 pound beef brisket (trimmed) shopping list
- 1 medium onion cut into quarters shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic cut in halves shopping list
- 10 whole cloves shopping list
- 1 1/4 cups apple jelly shopping list
- 1/3 cups white-wne vinegar shopping list
- 3 tablespoons green onions (minced) shopping list
- 3 tablespoons brown mustard shopping list
- 3/4 teaspoon of each of the following : black pepper & curry powder shopping list
How to make it
- Place beef, onion, garlic & cloves in an ovenproof Dutch oven. Add just enough water to cover beef.
- Bring beef mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to low & simmer until beef is tender. Drain, discarding onion, garlis & cloves. Return beef to Dutch oven.
- Pre-Heat the oven to 325*F
- Combine apple jelly, wine vinegar, green onions, brown mustard, black pepper & curry powder in a small saucepan & mix well. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat & stir frequently. Brush beef with the apple glaze.
- Bake beef, basting frequently with apple glaze for about 45 minutes. Cool slightly. Transfer beef to a heated serving platter. Slice & serve right away
