How to make it

  • Cook pork cubes briefly in boiling water until they just change color.
  • Drain the pork, cool and dry thoroughly on paper towels.
  • Mix together the salt, pepper, 5 spice powder, sherry, egg, and cornstarch.
  • Add the pork and coat well.
  • Fry the coated pork until lightly browned (golden), and drain on paper towels.
  • Heat 2 tbl.spoons oil in a saute pan and fry garlic until lightly browned,
  • Add onions, green and red bell peppers, stir-fry for 1-2 minutes.
  • Stir in the pineapple syrup/juice from can along with the vinegar, sugar, and ketchup.
  • Add the pork.
  • Cook stirring until thickened.
  • Stir in the pineapple chnks and lychees, and cook until heated thru.
  • Serve hot.
