Perfect Pie Crust

- 2 c AP flour shopping list
- 1/2 c unsalted very very cold butter, cut up (NOT MARGERINE) shopping list
- 1/4 c shortening or lard shopping list
- 1 1/2 tbs sugar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/3 to 1/2 c ice water shopping list
How to make it
- The best way to make pie crust is by using a food processor. Put all ingredients into processer except water and pulse a few time or until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs with some pea sized pieces.
- Sprinkle the water evenly around the flour and pulse a few more times just until the dough begins to form, adding more water 1 tsp at a time if necessary.
- Divide dough in half; shape into a flat round. Cover and chill for 20 to 30 mins.
