Pumpernickle Bread Bowl Recipe
A great appetizer that is fast and easy to do. Just add your favorite dips,hint Mushroom caviar is a good one. The added bonus, when the dip is gone cut it up and your guests can eat the bowl,talk about easy clean up.

Ingredients
  • 1 round loaf Pumpernickle Rye (seeded or no seeds)
  • 3 tablespoons sesame oil

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Cut slice from top of bread. Remove center, leaving a 1" shell. Cut removed bread into bite size pieces and reserve. Brush insides of bread shell with oil. Place on a cookie sheet with reserved bread. bake at 350°F for 20 minutes. Let shell cool. Fill with mushroom caviar or other dip of choice. Use toasted bread pieces to accompany vegetable "dippers."
