Plum Sauce for dipping or dripping

- 1 can (20 oz.) crushed pineapple in heavy syrup shopping list
- 1 c. sugar shopping list
- 1 c. water shopping list
- 1 c. vinegar shopping list
- 1 tbsp. dark soy sauce shopping list
- 2 tbsp. cornstarch shopping list
- 2 tbsp. cold water shopping list
- 1 c. plum sauce shopping list
- Prep time and cooking may vary. shopping list
How to make it
- Heat pineapple (with syrup), sugar, water, vinegar and soy sauce to boiling.
- Mix cornstarch and 2 tbsps. water; stir in pineapple mixture. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
- Cool to room temperature; stir in plum sauce. Cover and refrigerate.
- Serve with appetizers
- Use on meats as a marinating sauce- (pre-cook meat before applying, then continue to cook until hot)
