Carrot Stew Recipe

	Morninlite / All my dishes 1 year, 4 months ago This is another recipe that came from a song Morgan heard when he was little. Mike doesn't like vegies, but he thinks this is full of meat, and makes it past the carrots just fine!! Prep:15m Cook:45m Servings:8	Morninlite

Ingredients

1 lb bag of lentils

1 lb bag of baby carrots, left whole

1 qt beef broth

1 tsp beef soup base

1 med. onion, diced

3-4 cloves garlic, mashed

butter to saute onions and garlic

1/2 tsp cumin

2 tsp liquid smoke

salt and pepper to tase

Directions

Sort and rinse lentils

saute onion in butter. When onions are clear, add garlic and saute for a couple minutes more.

Combine, all ingredients in a stock pot bring to a boil then lower heat to simmer, and simmer until carrots are tender.
