- 1 LB ground chuck or turkey breast depending on diet shopping list
- 1 TBS olive oil shopping list
- 3 TBS chopped shallot shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 3/4 tsp ground cumin shopping list
- 3/4 tsp of ground corriander shopping list
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon shopping list
- 1/4 tsp cayenne shopping list
- 4 skewers soaked in water for 1 hr shopping list
How to make it
- Mix all ingredients together and allow to stand for at least 4 hrs before putting them on the grill. Take out of fridge and form into 2 inch flat shapes and stick 2 on a skewer. Grill until desired doneness.
- For reduced fat turkey version omit olive oil, add 1/4 cup of chicken stock and 2 TBS off egg beaters to replace fat. And for heart healthy version omit salt and use 1 tsp aleppo pepper ground.
- For dipping sauce use:
- low carb: 1/4 cup of mayo,1 TBS chopped mint,2 serranos mixed together.
- Reduced fat: use lowfat yogurt instead of mayo.
