How to make it

  • Combine all ingredients except hard-boiled eggs in a large mixing bowl.
  • Lay out about 3-4 cups of mixture onto foil.
  • Arrange to form a large sausage-shaped mixture.
  • Flatten and lay out strips of hard-boiled eggs.
  • Form into a big roll then cover entirely with foil and seal.
  • Place in a large steamer, one on top of another.
  • Steam rolls for at least 1hour.
  • Check steamer, add water if necessary.
  • Cool before putting inside chiller.
  • Slice into ½ inch thick, served cold or heated in pan with a little oil.
  • Use tomato catsup as dip or use drippings added with a little cornstarch for gravy.
