Classic dip to serve with wavy chips in order to scoop it up. Goes well with a crowd

Ingredients
  • 1 pkg frozen chopped spinach, thawed
  • 1 1/2 c sour cream
  • 1 c mayo
  • 1 pkg Knorr veg soup mix
  • 3 green onion, chopped
  • 1 c water chesnuts, chopped (optional

Directions
  1. Thaw spinach and squeeze dry otherwise the dip will be runny
  2. Mix with the remainder of the ingredients
  3. Cover and refrig for at least 2 hours so it can set up.

in my opinion...the water chestnuts MAKE the dip...
the crunchy texture they have is the best part!...
i like scooping it up with celery stalks...

Yep! That's the classic dip. My mom used to make it and she got it from her best friend. I remember the night she came home from the party. She had to go right out and buy the Knorr soup mix and make the dip so I could taste it. Good memory! Thank you!
