Unstuffed Pepper Skillet

- 1 pound ground beef, 95% lean shopping list
- 2 cups water shopping list
- 14 1/2 ounces diced canned tomatoes, drained shopping list
- 2 large bell peppers (green, red or yellow), diced shopping list
- 1 medium onion, diced shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups instant rice, uncooked shopping list
How to make it
- In a large skillet, brown beef; drain. Add onions and bell peppers; cook until onions and peppers start to soften. Add tomatoes, water and seasonings; bring to a boil. Stir in rice; reduce heat; simmer, covered, for 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Let stand for 5 minutes. Uncover and stir.
