My Grandma Weeds Cheese Ball

When Grandma Weed got this recipe, in the mid 1970's she made two for every represented family who came for Christmas..... every year until she had to go into assisted living. I remember helping her make about 20 of these one year!
Ingredients
- 2 lg pkg cream cheese shopping list
- 1 lg can crushed pineapple - drained VERY VERY WELL shopping list
- 1 tsp black pepper shopping list
- 1 tsp season salt shopping list
- 1/2 c chopped green pepper (chop it small, but don't mince) shopping list
- 1 c red onion (chop same as green pepper) shopping list
- 3 c crushed pecans shopping list
How to make it
- Mix all ingredients together, using only 3/4 cup of pecans.
- Put remaining pecans in a pie plate.
- Form cheese mixture into two balls
- Pat remaining nuts onto ball with your clean hands

- We'd have a production line going with someone rolling balls and another person patting in nuts... it made them look neater.....
