A great side dish, combine with char grilled steak and red wine mushroom sauce and the rest of the bottle of red!

Ingredients
  • 110g (9.75 oz) fresh asparagus (snap off woody ends)
  • 12 spring onions (shallots, scallions) topped and tailed and old skins removed
  • macadamia or rice bran oil to coat (something with flavour)

Directions
  1. Cut asparagus and spring onions into 12cm (5 inch) lengths
  2. Brush lightly with macadamia or rice bran oil
  3. Cook on a preheated char grill or barbecue for 3 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender
  4. Drizzle some balsamic vinegar over the top
  5. Sprinkle with cracked black pepper
  6. Top with shavings of Parmesan cheese
  7. ENJOY!
