GOLDEN FRUIT LOAF

- GOLDEN fruit LOAF shopping list
- 1/2 cup shortening shopping list
- 1 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 cup chopped golden delicious apples shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped candied fruit shopping list
- 1/2 cup golden raisins shopping list
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans shopping list
- lemon glaze shopping list

- Comine 1-1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar, 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon peel and 2 tablespoons lemon juice. Mix until smooth. Drizzle over cooled Golden fruit Loaf. shopping list
- 1.) Cream shortening and sugar until light. Add eggs and mix well. Stir in apples and vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture. Fold in candied fruit, raisins and pecans. Turn into greased 9 X 5 X 3-inch loaf pan. Bake at 325 degrees F. about 1 hour, until bread tests done. Cool and drizzle with lemon glaze. shopping list
