This dish puts a spicy spin on a regular red sauce pasta.. adding some shrimp and veggies on it will give it the kick that you spicy peeps will truly enjoy :)

Ingredients
  • 3 cloves of garlic, peeled and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium sized can crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • red pepper flakes
  • white pepper and salt to taste
  • 20 pcs asparagus
  • bunch of spinach
  • 16 medium shrimp, cleaned and peeled
  • 1 kl fettucine or linguini pasta (any flat pasta will do)
  • feta cheese
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese

Directions
  1. cook pasta as directed
  2. when pasta is cooked drain it while setting aside the water bath
  3. use the water bath to blanch the asparagus for 1-2 mins*
  4. pomodoro cream sauce:
  5. heat crushed tomatoes in medium heat for 5 mins
  6. add heavy cream ( stir the sauce while doing so)
  7. add red pepper flakes (2 pinches)
  8. add s&p to taste
  9. set aside
  10. saute garlic for 2 mins
  11. add the shrimp - cook for 2 mins
  12. add spinach - saute until wilted
  13. add blanched asparagus - saute for another 2-3 mins
  14. then add the marinara sauce (make sure all ingredients are well incorporated)
  15. add red pepper flakes - (as many or as little as you like depends on how hot you want it to be)
  16. add the parmesan cheese
  17. let it simmer for 2 mins
  18. served with crushed feta cheese on top - best served hot
  19. **variation:
  20. i find it better if you already incorporate the pasta with the diablo sauce since the flavor will fully stick to the pasta
