Shrimp Fra Diablo

- 3 cloves of garlic, peeled and sliced shopping list
- 1 tablespoon olive oil shopping list
- 1 medium sized can crushed tomatoes shopping list
- 1/2 cup heavy cream shopping list
- red pepper flakes shopping list
- white pepper and salt to taste shopping list
- 20 pcs asparagus shopping list
- bunch of spinach shopping list
- 16 medium shrimp, cleaned and peeled shopping list
- 1 kl fettucine or linguini pasta (any flat pasta will do) shopping list
- feta cheese shopping list
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese shopping list
How to make it
- cook pasta as directed
- when pasta is cooked drain it while setting aside the water bath
- use the water bath to blanch the asparagus for 1-2 mins*
- pomodoro cream sauce:
- heat crushed tomatoes in medium heat for 5 mins
- add heavy cream ( stir the sauce while doing so)
- add red pepper flakes (2 pinches)
- add s&p to taste
- set aside
- saute garlic for 2 mins
- add the shrimp - cook for 2 mins
- add spinach - saute until wilted
- add blanched asparagus - saute for another 2-3 mins
- then add the marinara sauce (make sure all ingredients are well incorporated)
- add red pepper flakes - (as many or as little as you like depends on how hot you want it to be)
- add the parmesan cheese
- let it simmer for 2 mins
- served with crushed feta cheese on top - best served hot
- **variation:
- i find it better if you already incorporate the pasta with the diablo sauce since the flavor will fully stick to the pasta
