Wine and Cheese Bread

- 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons all purpose flour shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 1/4 cup instant nonfat dry milk shopping list
- 1/3 cup vegetable shortening shopping list
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar shopping list
- 1 tablespoon minced onion shopping list
- 1 egg beaten shopping list
- 1/4 cup milk shopping list
- 1/4 cup white wine shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano shopping list
- 1/4 cup freshly granted parmesan cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Sift together flour, baking powder, cream of tartar, salt, soda and dry milk.
- Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal.
- Add sugar, minced onion, egg, milk, wine and oregano then mix thoroughly.
- Spread mixture in greased round pan and sprinkle with cheese then bake at 425 for 20 minutes.
