Ingredients
  • 1 center slice ham, about 12 to 16 ounces
  • 3 medium sweet potatoes, about 1 1/2 pounds, peeled and sliced 1/4-inch thick
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar, packed
  • 4 apples, quartered
  • 3/4 cup hot water

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Brown the ham on both sides; place in baking dish.
  3. Spread apples and sliced sweet potatoes over ham then sprinkle with brown sugar.
  4. Add hot water.
  5. Cover and bake at 350° for about 60 minutes, or until tender.
  6. Baste occasionally while cooking.
  7. Remove cover last 15 minutes.
