Ingredients

How to make it

  • Basic Tortilla Pizza: Perfect for a light supper or easy appetizer.
  • Flour tortilla (I use the taco size).
  • Pizza Sauce
  • Meat, (if you wish) such as pepperoni or Canadian bacon (cut into small pieces)
  • Cheese, (as you wish) such as Mozzarella, Colby and Monterey Jack, etc.
  • Place the tortilla on a cookie sheet and spread pizza sauce or some other favorite sauce over its surface.
  • Sprinkle meat over top.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese over top.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 450º for 5 minutes.
  • When edges are brown and crispy, remove it from oven and cut into pie shaped pieces.
  • _______________________________________________
  • Basic Quesadilla (Can be made with a variety of fillings.)
  • Pam spray the skillet.
  • Place a tortilla (flour or corn) in the pan.
  • Spread sauce of choice over the tortilla surface. (green enchilada sauce, salsa, etc.)
  • Distribute small chunks of cooked meat over top. (chicken, beef, pork, etc.)
  • Sprinkle the cheese over the surface. (Cheddar, Colby and Monterey Jack, Mozzarella, etc.)
  • Cover the pan.
  • Cook over medium heat for 2-4 minutes until the tortilla is starting to brown and the cheese is melting. When the tortilla is ready fold it over in half.
  • Can be eaten like a large taco or cut it into wedges.
  • For double-sided, before covering the pan add another tortilla on top and Pam spray it as well. When done on one side, squash down on the quesadilla to get the cheese to help hold it together and flip like a huge pancake and brown the second side.
