Ingredients
  • 1 - Tablepoon cloves
  • 1 - T ablepoon black peppercorns
  • 2 - Tablepoon cardamom seeds
  • 2 - 3-4 inch cinnamon sticks
  • 1 - piece of ginger, about 1-2 inches long, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1- - gallon of water
  • 1 -bag black tea

Directions
  1. Crush peppercorns and cardamom seeds with a mortar and pestle. Place these and other spices in large pot with the gallon of water...... Simmer slowly for 45 minutes to an hour. ............
  2. Add tea bag for one minute and remove.............
  3. Tea is ready to serve................
  4. You may strain and put leftovers in the refrigerator for later.
  5. The yogis think it is best served with milk or soy milk.
  6. The black tea is said to activate the spices.

I love this one. I actually drink black tea with cardamom myself and love the scent of it, however, yours sounds better!


I am a tea lover from way back. This sounds lovely. I know that the cinnamon, pepper and ginger have great health benefits. I will have to check out the cardomom and cloves. I suspect they are good too.


I have been drinking this for 30 years--love it--my cure for winter congestion!
