Chicken Pot Pie

- 2 cups cooked chopped chicken or cooked chicken breasts shopping list
- carrots shopping list
- peas shopping list
- brocolli shopping list
- butter shopping list
- chopped onion shopping list
- green pepper shopping list
- celery shopping list
- can cream of mushroom soup shopping list
- milk shopping list
- salt shopping list
- pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Prepare double pie crust (alternatively you can use 2 frozen pie crusts)
- Cook approximately 1/2 cup of carrots, peas and brocolli (you can substitue with other vegetables if you prefer)
- Melt 2 tbsp butter in frying pan
- Add 1/2 cup chopped onion, 1/4 cup of chopped celery and 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
- Saute in pan until softened.
- Add this mixture to medium sized mixing bowl and then add one can of cream of mushroom soup and 1/2 cup of milk
- Add the cooked chicken, peas, carrots and brocolli
- Season to taste with salt and pepper
- Place mixture into pie plate and bake approximately 50 minutes in 400 deg oven
- I usually start off with a 400 deg oven for about 30 minutes and then reduce the heat to 350 for the remainder of the time
- Serve while piping hot
