How to make it

  • soak over nite 32 oz limas
  • next day put in a large pot
  • bring to boil- turn down and simmer 1 hr
  • add 4 onions, garlic powder and 1 can rotel
  • simmer till tender add salt an pepper to taste,simmer, about 1 more hour
  • let cool put in frig till tomorrow
  • soak another 32 oz of beans over nite
  • drain the beans that were soaking
  • heat up the pot of beans
  • add the new limas to pot
  • add 2 more onions bring to boil and turn down to a simmer
  • till limas are tender
  • there ready twice cooked lima beans
  • make some corn bread,
