Spicy Tartar Sauce

- 3 T dill pickle or substitute dill relish shopping list
- 1 ½ t capers shopping list
- ½ small sweet onion shopping list
- 1 t dill shopping list
- ½ t balsamic vinegar shopping list
- ½ t Dijon mustard shopping list
- 1 pinch black pepper shopping list
- ¼ t red pepper flakes shopping list
- ½ jalapeno pepper, fresh or pickled, shopping list
- 1 t garlic, about 3 cloves or to taste shopping list
- 1 chipotle chile with 1 t adobo sauce shopping list
- ½ c cabbage shopping list
- 2-3 anchovies shopping list
- 2 t cilantro shopping list
- ½ c mayonnaise or less, to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Combine all the ingredients except mayonnaise in a food processor and pulse a few times for JUST a few seconds.
- Add the mayonnaise and process a few seconds more to blend well.
- Refrigerate overnight to allow the flavors to blend. If you find this too thin, add more minced cabbage.
- This sauce is super flavorful and goes well with fish and seafood.
