Scotch Scones Recipe
These "no bake" scones are a bit sweeter and more flat than the original. The perfect treat, anytime.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar, white
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • salt

Directions
  1. Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Cut in the butter by rubbing the mixture between your fingers until it is fine and crumbly; then add in the raisins. Now, mix together the egg and milk in a small bowl then combine with the dry ingredients and form a soft dough. Roll the dough to 1/4 inch in thickness, on a lightly floured surface, then dip a cutter into flour, and stamp out your scones. (You might need to re-roll the dough to get the full 12). Now, on medium setting, heat a dry, non-stick griddle. Finally, cook each side until it is slightly raised and turns a golden brown. Transfer the scones to a wire rack; cool.
