Pear And Raisin Pie Recipe

Ingredients
  • Pastry for two crusts (your own, a mix, or frozen, whatever floats your boat)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp plus 1 tsp all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ginger
  • 8 pears peeled, seeded and diced
  • 3/4 cup raisins
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp granulated sugar

Directions
  1. Measure sugar, flour, cinnamon, and ginger into large bowl and stir together.
  2. Add pears and raisins and mix together with a spoon.
  3. Pour fruit mixture into unbaked pie shell.
  4. Sprinkle lime juice over top.
  5. Dampen edges and pay top crust over, trim and seal. Cut some slits in the top.
  6. Sprinkle with remaining granulated sugar
  7. Bake on bottom rack of 360 F oven until crust is browned and pears are cooked through.
