Easy Cherry Cake With Pudding Frosting Recipe

  • Easy Cherry Cake with Pudding Frosting
  • 1 can cherry pie filling -- (20 ounce)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 eggs
  • 2/3 cup oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup chopped nuts
  • Combine all ingredients in a large bowl; mix together well with a
  • spoon. Pour into a greased 9x13-inch cake pan. Bake at 350 F. for 40- 50 minutes. Cool, and frost with Vanilla Pudding Frosting (see recipe below).
  • Vanilla Pudding Frosting:
  • Combine 1 4-oz. package instant vanilla pudding mix with 1-1/2 cups
  • cold milk and 1 envelope Dream Whip topping mix. Beat together in
  • deep bowl at high speed until fluffy and smooth.
