Hoisin-sesame glaze for chicken

- 2/3c hoisin sauce shopping list
- 1/4c rice vinegar shopping list
- 2Tbs dry sherry shopping list
- 1Tbs veg.oil shopping list
- 2tsp toasted sesame oil shopping list
- 1(1")piece ginger,peeeled and sliced thin shopping list
- 2 med.garlic cloves,chopped coarse shopping list
- 6 scallions,chopped coarse shopping list
- 1/2tsp ground white pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Process all ingredients in food processor until thoroughly combined,20-30 seconds,scraping down side of bowl as needed. Reserve half of glaze for serving and use other half to brush on chicken while grrilling.
- How to glaze grilled chicken
- Grill chicken till thermometer reads 155 for breasts and 170 for legs and thighs
- Brush one side of chicken pieces with half of glaze reserved for grilling,then turn chicken glaze-side down and cook 2 mins.
- Brush second side of chicken with remaining glazereserved for grilling,then turn chicken and cook and cook till browned qand thermometer registers 160 for breasts and 175 for legs and thighs,1-3 mins. longer. Let chicken rest 5 mins.. Serve,passing glaze at the table.
