French Toast Casserole Recipe
Tastes like french toast without the work of standing at the stove and making slice after slice.

Ingredients
  • 1 pound bread
  • 8 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup half and half (or just milk)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup

Directions
  1. Slice the loaf of bread into 1 inch slices.
  2. Grease a 9 x 13 pan and spread the bread slices into the pan.
  3. Blend the eggs, milk, half and half, vanilla, cinnamon, butter, brown sugar and maple syrup. Pour mixture over the bread slices.
  4. Cover the pan and refrigerate overnight.
  5. When ready to bake...preheat the oven to 350*. (Remove the cover on the pan.)
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes, until puffed and golden.
