Ingredients
  • 2 cups old fashioned oats (not quick)
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 2 sticks butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated suger
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips, semi sweet
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Put oats in a blender and blend for about 30 seconds on medium.
  3. Add raisins and blend 30 seconds to one minute, until raisins are in very small pieces, set aside.
  4. In a heavy duty mixer, cream butter and sugars until fluffy, mix in eggs and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Sift flour, salt and baking soda together.
  6. Alternately add the oats mixture and sifted flour into your mixer bowl, mixing well as you go.
  7. Stir in the chips and pecans.
  8. Drop by tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  9. Bake 11-15 minutes, until edges are browned.
  10. Makes 4 dozen.
