SOUR CREAM CHIP MUFFINS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Pride Estate in Irving, Texas in 1990.

Ingredients
  • 1-1/2 cups flour
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 5 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips

Directions
  1. In bowl combine first 5 ingredients.
  2. In another bowl combine egg, sour cream, butter and vanilla.
  3. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened then fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Fill muffin cups three-fourths full then bake at 350 for 20 minutes.
  5. Cool 10 minutes and remove to wire rack.
