These pancakes are very different. They are light and yummy and taste somewhat like French toast. Remember, you must use fresh bread crumbs.

Ingredients
  • 1-1/2 cups fresh bread crumbs
  • 2 cups buttermilk or soured milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1-1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda, dissolved in 1/4 cup hot water

Directions
  1. Combine first 6 ingredients and blend well.
  2. Add baking soda and water just before frying pancakes.
