grandmas green tomato pie

- 60 minutes to make
- Serves 1
it sounds weird. but grandma don't lie
Ingredients
- peel about 6 to 8 large green tomatoes shopping list
- add 2 tbl lemon juice shopping list
- 1/4 tea vinegar shopping list
- dash of cloves shopping list
- 3/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 2 tbl tapioca shopping list
- 3/4 tea cinnamon shopping list
- 1/4 tea salt shopping list
- 1/8 tea nutmeg shopping list
- let this mixture sit awhile at least 1 hour shopping list
- it will make its own juices, and make it easier to mix the spices evenly shopping list
How to make it
- put the whole thing in a pie shell
- do not drain juice-
- put 2 tbl butter over the top of tomatoes
- and cover with a top crust shell.
- make a few top cuts on the top for steam to release
- bake at 400 degrees for 60 minutes
