Ingredients

2 large onions- chopped

2 tbs lard

4 pound chicken,or favorite parts

1 tsp salt or to taste

1-1/2 paprika

1 yellow or red paprika- sliced

pinch of black pepper

10 med.potatoes-pilled cut in helf

Directions

Use a 4-5 quart heavy casserole with a tight fitting lid.

Cook the onions in the lard.

Covered over low heat about 15 minutes,

This should become almost pasty,but not browned.

Add chicken,salt ,sliced pepper,black pepper and cook.

Covered for about 3o minutes, stir in paprika, potatoes,

Add 1 liter of water,

Cook, covered, over very low heat, until chicken and potatoes soft

and tender. injoy
