coconut pound cake

- 1 cup shortening shopping list
- 1 stick oleo shopping list
- 2 1/2 cups sugar shopping list
- 5 eggs shopping list
- 1 cup sweet milk shopping list
- 3 cups cake flour shopping list
- 1 tea baking powder shopping list
- 1/4 tea salt shopping list
- 1 1/2 tbl coconut flavoring shopping list
How to make it
- cream shortening and sugar and oleo
- add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
- add milk and dry ingredients [sifted togather]
- alternately, add flavoring and beat well.
- fold in coconut.
- bake 1 1/2 hours at 300 degrees in a large tube pan.
- NOTE be sure to use canned coconut----
- DO NOT use fresh or frozen as it will not work
